Next Idea Inc. launches the QualifiedDoctors.com Internet-based guide to finding highly qualified doctors.Website is in place providing a new service for Chicago area residents: a guide to finding the right doctor. Illinois, January 20, 2004: Today
Kamran Salehi, President of Next Idea Inc., announced a new division named
QualifiedDoctors and the division’s umbrella website. The website is available
at www.QualifiedDoctors.com. The
website is being introduced to Chicago area residents by means of radio
advertising. The radio ads emphasize the message: “The smart way to find a
good doctor…QualifiedDoctors.com.” Both
patients and doctors will benefit from this new website. This is not merely an
Internet directory of doctors. The focus of the website is to educate the public
on selecting the right doctor for the particular medical need they have. The
education and qualification of physicians is to some extent a mystery to people
outside of the medical field. Does a doctor need a particular license to call
himself a specialist? When a doctor is “board certified”, what does that
exactly mean? Who are boards and what is the expertise for which they certify
doctors? What is the expertise of an otolaryngologist? QualifiedDoctors.com
clarifies these types of issues. Chicago
area website visitors can select among board certified doctors by specialty.
There are listings of specialized medical groups. The listed surgical centers
are accredited by JCAHO, a national non-profit quality assurance organization.
The emphasis is to guide patients to physicians best matching their needs. “Our
mission is to both provide information on selecting the right doctors, and offer
listings of medical practices which meet certain quality standards. When it
comes to quality standards, we did not feel we had the authority to set them
ourselves, so we rely on state licensing programs, national certification
organizations and non-profit quality assurance bodies. These sources provide a
